2018 Season Refresher Classes

Good day to all CVYSL referees, 

​

The season is almost upon us and we have a lot of information to cover.  I will be holding mandatory refresher courses for all referees who will be refereeing for CVYSL this year.

​

All of the classes will be held at either Carmichael Library, North Highlands Antelope Library or the Arcade Library and will go from 6pm until 9pm

​

Dates, Times, Locations:
Class 1 - Friday, July 27th , 6 - 9pm ** Carmichael Library **
Class 2 - Saturday, August 4th, 6-9pm ** Carmichael Library **
Class 3 - Thursday, August 9th , CANCELLED
Class 4 - Thursday, August 16th, 6-9pm  ** Carmichael Library **
Class 5 - Thursday, August 23rd, 6 - 9pm ** North Highlands Antelope Library **
Class 6 - Friday, August 31st, 6-9pm ** Carmichael Library **

New Grade 8 Courses

CVYSL is sponsoring two new Grade 8 Referee Courses before the 2018 season.  

August 12th at Foothill High School

September 1st at TBD

This class is for anyone interested in becoming a referee.  The class will consist of 3 classes.  All classes must be attended to receive your badge.

​

The class costs $90. $75 due when signing up and an additional $10 at the door.  The $10 covers snacks, drinks, lunch, and a rule book.

2017-18 US Soccer Training

Fox Soccer Assigning will be hosting a Training class for all interesting in learning the 2017-18 emphasis and current interpretations of the Laws of the Game.  These training's are based on the training held in Feb for all national referees.

​

This is a 6 subject class with a new subject each month.  Classes will be held monthly starting in June on will be held on the last Thursday of the month.  All are welcome to attend.  This will be an interactive class, not one where the instructor is talking the entire time.  

​

There are new interpretations to the LOTG. Please come willing to share your opinion.  You must also come willing to have an open mind so that you can put the new interpretations into use in your games.
